Fatima al-Hejazi, a young Saudi researcher, notes that at a National
Dialogue Forum in the city of Abha in December 2005, a representative of
the grossly oppressed Shia minority in Saudi Arabia called for equal
religious rights. His eldest daughter, Abha,
returned to India in 1975 to wed a man she had never met from her
father's Kayashta caste. For
example, Abha was rejected for many of the positions she applied for,
but eventually her persistence paid off, and she landed an internship in
the computer industry. |
