It may be that the majority of consumers are not aware of ABV and don't even notice.
According to the General Household Survey by the Know Your Limits campaign, about 20% of women across the UK drink more than the NHS recommended daily limit of two to three units of alcohol, equivalent to one large glass of wine a day (250ml at ABV 12%).
