NFU livestock board chairman Alistair Mackintosh described the cost as "unacceptable" as he unveiled the research carried out by AHDB Red Meat Market Intelligence. Sausage exports hit 6,350 tonnes - worth pounds 14m - last year and are forecast to reach 7,500 tonnes in 2009, according to AHDB Market Intelligence. Mr Roberts said "I am proud of what I have achieved at AHDB and it is a logical time to move on. |
