About 12 years after the AICPCU started, it combined its resources with the ILK to form what's now the Goliath of designation conferring organizations the American Institute for CPCU and Insurance Institute of America (AICPCU--IIA). According to an internal survey conducted by AICPCU in 2001, "Time to Complete" was cited as the number one obstacle by students as reasons not to be able to complete CPCU certification program. In conjunction with the Insurance Institute of America, the AICPCU offers 22 insurance-related educational programs including associate designation programs in claims, underwriting, risk management and reinsurance. |
