APPL uses stories as their chief knowledge transfer method--the mechanism these program leaders use to shape and define their culture and to pass along lessons to the younger generation.
APPL has been in place since 1986 and was designed to enhance the relationship between private and public law enforcement and to educate its members about special circumstances.
On Monday morning, more than 350 members of the APPL network met and were briefed on security concerns by the mayor and police commissioner and advised that building staffs and tenants should be reviewing emergency procedures.
