An accident investigation report
released last month said the Legacy pilots attempted to contact air
traffic control 19 times in the 8 min. It has
six departments of study, comprising operational standards, airport
safety management, air traffic safety management, aircraft airworthiness
certification, accident investigation and safety information, and safety
theory. They are the
first thing OSHA inspectors will ask for in an accident investigation,
in order to familiarize themselves with the equipment and to make sure
the employee had access to the information, Atkins said. |
