Alcan has begun discussions with unions and employee
representatives for a proposed sale of selected assets at the
company's Affimet aluminum recycling plant in Compiegne, France. 7 billion, Alcan continues
to strengthen its global presence in aluminum and packaging. Alcan Composites, Sins, Switzerland, a business unit of Alcan, and
Cyclics Europe GmbH of Germany, a subsidiary of Cyclics, Schenectady,
NY, announced a cooperation agreement for the development and
commercialization of Cyclics' CBT resin, the cyclic form of
polybutylene terephthalate resin, in key strategic markets. |
