-- Alabama's retailers, wholesalers and grocers, representing thousands of businesses in the state, have joined forces with The Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board, the national We Card program and the Alabama chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving, to launch the Retailer Recognition Campaign: a statewide initiative aimed at reinforcing responsible retailing sales practices.
The Alcoholic Beverage Control Board followed the city's approval and has elected to renew Viceroy's ability to continue serving alcohol on the patio, as had been done since the hotel's opening.
The state Alcoholic Beverage Control Board will review the three businesses' liquor licenses to decide whether the owners will be allowed to continue selling alcohol, sheriff's officials said.
