Tokyo, Japan, June 23, 2006 - (JCN) - Riken recently announced
that the Research Center for Allergy and Immunology at Riken Yokohama
Institute, in collaboration with Kyoto University, has discovered a
mechanism that controls allergic reactions. , head of the division of pediatric allergy and immunology at the
University of Wisconsin in Madison and leader of one study. The American Academy of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology (AAAAI)
estimates that nearly 36 million people in the United States have
seasonal hay fever, leading to more than eight million visits to
doctors' offices each year. |
