For now, the Deaflympics continue addressing the many benefits noted by Art Kruger, one of the founders of the American Athletic Association of the Deaf (now called the USA Deaf Sports Federation).
Lee also received the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University Distinguished Alumni Award, the American Association of University Administrators (AAUA) Eileen Tosney Award, the American Athletic Association of the Deaf Distinguished Service Award, the San Diego Leadership Alliance Outstanding Leadership Award, and the Association for Multicultural Counseling an Development Presidential Award for Exemplary Service.
ECC, as he was usually called, was well known in the Deaf Community for his work with sports and the American Athletic Association of the Deaf, of which he was a founder.
