American Muslims for Jerusalem (AMJ) recently announced openings in
its internship program for this spring (April 1-June 1) and summer (June
1-Aug. A lively question-and-answer period followed, and included a
pointed question from American Muslims for Jerusalem director Khalid
Turaani: "Your report recommends ways to deal with the likes of
Osama bin Laden in the Muslim world," he said. Khalid Turaani, director of American Muslims for Jerusalem, said
he, too, was amazed that Bush would appoint Pipes and "drive a
wedge between the Muslim community and the Republican Party," when
the president knows that their bloc vote helped him win the 2000
election. |
