today announced an agreement with American Red Cross Biomedical Services to initiate integrated blood conservation programs at two American Red Cross client hospitals with the intent to roll out integrated blood conservation programs at additional American Red Cross client hospitals.
As previously announced, "the American Red Cross has decided, upon a strategic review of our Plasma Services business, that we will exit the plasma products business so we can focus on our core mission of insuring a supply of safe blood products," said Jack McGuire, Executive Vice President, American Red Cross Biomedical Services.
The American Red Cross Biomedical Services (ARCBS), which is responsible for collecting, manufacturing, and distributing the blood supply for much of the United States, must ensure that their policy and procedural documents are accurate and complete, and that they are maintained and accessed in a controlled environment.
