These results have been confirmed in another androgen-independent prostate cancer cell line (PC3).
A University of Georgia laboratory study, published in Glycobiology (August 2007), reported that fractionated pectin powder (FPP), made by Thorne, induced apoptosis (cell death) in androgen-responsive and androgen-independent prostate cancer cells in vitro.
