attended Arkansas State Teachers College (now the University of Central Arkansas), served two years of active service in the Navy, and eventually graduated in 1962 from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Nabholz started his business in 1949 in Conway, his hometown, which was then considered a sort of sleepy college town with two relatively small schools, Hendrix College and Arkansas State Teachers College (now the University of Central Arkansas) - although even then each had disproportionately large impact on higher education in the state. The balance was given to Arkansas State Teachers College, which is now the University of Central Arkansas. |
