medical schools remains far lower than their representation in the overall population, according to a new report from the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC). The Association of American Medical Colleges released a study Saturday of the nation's 125 accredited medical schools that showed an 11 percent drop in African-Americans, American Indians, Mexican-Americans, Chicanos and Puerto Ricans applying to medical schools. Collaborating with THCI on this conference are the American College of Physicians, the Association of American Medical Colleges, and the Association of Family Medicine Residency Directors. |
