The people waiting to do their job stand silently with bowed heads, and I am reminded once again that there are no atheists in foxholes. At the end of a segment on religious faith along the coast, broadcast by Mike Von Fremd from a gutted out church about a block away from me, co-host Bill Weir made the claim that there are "no atheists in foxholes or hurricane zones. Her story certainly brings to mind the cliche at there are no atheists in foxholes. |
