INTRODUCTION Atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) is one of the most efficient synthetic methods that can be used to prepare well-defined polymers with controlled chain topology, composition, microstructure, and functionality (1-5).
Another common technique, atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP), is a type of controlled, or "living," radical polymerization in which reactions that would otherwise break the formation of polymer chains do not occur.
Their topics include characterizing associative properties of amphiphilic polyelectrolytes and their self-assembled nanostructures in water, water-soluble copolymers and terpolymers of synthetic polyzwitterions, the controlled synthesis of polymers with ionic or ionizable groups using atom transfer radical polymerization, and applications of polyelectrolytes in aqueous media.
