BANZ has been tasked with managing the 5,000 square metre area designated for warehouse space.
Maher Al Shaer, CEO of Diyar Al Muharraq, shared: "As Dragon City is one of our prominent landmark projects, with warehouses being spread over an extensive 5,000 sqm area, it was imperative that we outsource our management needs of the same to an experienced and well connected establishment that thrives on the highest quality of work standards and immaculate work ethics and in the BANZ Group, we found all this and more.
The agreement was signed by Diyar Al Muharraq chief executive Dr Maher Al Shaer and BANZ Group chief executive Jason B Smith, in the presence of officials from both companies.
Under the contractual obligations that the agreement necessitates, BANZ will comprehensively manage the 5,000sqm area designated for warehouses in Dragon Mall, the Chinese themed shopping centre in Dragon City that will have 747 retail and wholesale units as well as provide logistics services.
The all-encompassing warehousing services that BANZ will provide include de-stuffing of containers, quality control, storage in climate-controlled areas, order picking, value-added services such as repacking, labelling and kitting, retail distribution and other services such as Less Container Load Container Freight Station.
The BANZ group will act as an agent for importers and exporters and offers amongst its services the preparation of customs documentation, liaising with Bahrain Customs, Health Ministry, port and airport authorities, shipping and carrier agents and other relevant government institutions.
Dr Al Shaer said the partnership with the BANZ Group is aimed at providing a comprehensive solution to all warehousing and logistics needs.
