The Avon Foundation has funded more than 800 community-based breast health programs across the United States since 1993, including BCCCP at the ACCESS Community Health & Research Center.
The Fund's National Advisory Board selected BCCCP at the ACCESS Community Health & Research Center as one of 123 new grant recipients nationwide in the 2005 cycle of Avon Foundation Breast Care Fund grants.
At the core of the FREE 2 BE campaign is a toll-free phone hotline, 1-88-88-FREE-2-BE, staffed by specially trained operators who will help callers get to the local BCCCP coordinating agency who can enroll them in the program.

Since its inception in 1988, Michigan's BCCCP program has provided over 63,000 mammograms and Pap tests to its women and nearly 18,400 in 2000 alone.
