BK21 is currently sponsoring 629 selected research projects conducted by 69 teams (MOE, 2002).
BK21 will pour money into flourishing fields, such as medical and agricultural biotechnology, information technology, chemical engineering, and materials science, as well as into the traditional disciplines of physics, chemistry, and biology.
