The Virginia-based BLP is the brainchild of Religious Right activist Chuck Stetson, but the group's textbook has endorsements from across the ideological spectrum. In 2000, Sherman was responsible for nearly 750,000 SF of office leasing activity on behalf of both tenants and owners, including the 313,000-SF AboveNet Communications lease in Jersey City, NJ; the 56,000 SF headquarters lease for the BLP Group Companies in Wayne, NJ; and the 38,500-SF lease for Paradigm Direct in Fort Lee, NJ. Together with the Urban Indicators Programme, BLP forms the Global Urban Observatory, one of the principal means of monitoring and supporting the implementation of the Habitat Agenda and Agenda 21. |
