Competition for pupillages is fierce and the 1,749 students who undertook the BVC across the UK in 2008/09 had to battle it out for just 550 available places. The reunion featured keynote speaker Roy Bear Chief, a BVC Academic Upgrading alumnus and member of the Siksika Nation Council. The scholarship will provide financial support to a student wishing to undertake the LPC (Legal Practice Course), set up for prospective solicitors or the BVC (Bar Vocational Course), a course for those wishing to become a barrister. |
