Each year BYFI sends 26 outstanding North American teenagers to Israel, for five weeks of intensive summer study to experience a shared sense of Jewish community.

has offered an opportunity for North American students entering the twelfth grade to participate in an intensive five-week summer program, designed to develop future community leaders committed to Jewish unity.
The Board was first convened two years ago in an effort to involve BYFI alumni, staff, and other Jewish professionals in the program's development.
