He developed a way to retransmit weather radar information, known as Next Generation Weather Radar, from base weather station feeds to the Federal Aviation Administration's High Desert air traffic control facility.
The systems, used in military base weather stations worldwide, continuously measure, display, and record the following parameters: horizontal wind speed, wind direction, peak gusts, gust spread, peak wind over the a variety of time periods, direction variability, and standard deviation of wind direction.
