The most important element in enabling battlefield visualization consists in technical assets of battlefield observation. It is made up of a system of constructive warfighting simulations; command post mock-ups linked by a digital, single-channel ground and airborne radio system (SINCGARS)-compatible communications network; and re-configurable work stations that support a wide range of battlefield visualization technologies. The computer systems support the Army's Blue Force Tracking requirements, which include beyond line-of-sight reporting and tracking, and vertical and horizontal information integration that is incorporated into the military's overall battlefield visualization efforts. |
