The adoption of a global bill of materials (BOM) and bill of process (BOP) could be tested and validated under the proposed solution, along with further optimization of just-in-time and just-in-scquence manufacturing. With the DPM Assembly hierarchical process model the process planners can start with a simple, top level outline of the process and as the process definition matures the fidelity of the PPR model increases and eventually results in a complete Bill of Process and Manufacturing Bill of Materials. In operation, eMPower applications are used to create an "electronic bill of process (eBOP), the manufacturing equivalent of a bill of materials (BOM). |
