The overall system features fault-tolerant LAN emulation components, including redundant LANE configuration server, LANE Server, and broadcast and unknown server functions.
LAN Emulation SSRP provides redundancy for all of the server components in LAN Emulation -- the LAN Emulation Configuration Server (LECS), the LAN Emulation Server (LES) and the Broadcast and Unknown Server (BUS).
It provides the user with a list of all network connections by VPI/VCI end stations and automatically discovers the role of key stations in the network, such as LAN Emulation Server or Broadcast and Unknown Server.
