1-compatible PCI bus controller incorporating PCI bus arbitration logic and operating up to 50MHz, and general-purpose modules such as a DMA controller, interrupt controller, timers and a serial port. Built-in bus arbitration logic prevents bus contention to improve performance and eliminate potential logic hazards. By transferring video data in real-time over a dedicated bus, it circumvents the need for a secondary buffer and eliminates the need for a PCMCIA card to provide bus mastering or bus arbitration logic. |
