A widening income gap in Canada, an increasing rate of early childhood caries and a reduction in retirees' dental benefits are some of the factors supporting the need for the government to add oral-health care to the list of public goods. Teaching new parents about the risks of early childhood caries and other oral habits that promote decay is one example of early prevention. |
