Control the boom with a joystick or foot pedal; hook up with a CAT II or III hitch. With this new approach system, pilots landing on Boise's CAT II designated runway in aircraft equipped with HGS need only 1,200 feet of runway visibility to land, as opposed to 1,800 feet required for airlines not equipped with HGS. Transport Canada has recently completed their initial evaluation of the aircraft to include all systems testing and CAT II certification. |
