CBK -logo KUWAIT, Nov 15 (KUNA) - Kuwaiti local banks showed strong performance last October in spite of the global financial crisis, showing a remarkable growth compared to last September and to the same period of 2008.
The last rating action on CBK was implemented on March 19, 2009, when Moody's maintained the bank's ratings on review for possible downgrade, stating that it was not affected by the sovereign action taken at the time to place Kuwait's foreign currency deposit ceiling on review for possible downgrade.
Summary: National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) and Commercial Bank of Kuwait (CBK) announced today an agreement whereby CBK will sell its shares in Boubyan Bank amounting to 220,631,095 shares to NBK for 550 fils per share.
