If the transferee/owner's shares, upon being registered in his name in Hong Kong, are to be deposited with CCASS, the transferee/owner should execute a transfer form, obtained from the offices of the Hong Kong transfer agent and registrar, and arrange for delivery of such form, together with his share certificate(s) issued by the Hong Kong transfer agent and registrar, to Hongkong Clearing, for credit either directly to his participant stock account with CCASS, if he is a CCASS Participant, or to a designated CCASS Participant's stock account, if he elects to hold the shares though a CCASS Participant.
Because of time-zone differences, the mechanics of registering exchanges and transfers between the New York transfer agent and registrar and the Hong Kong transfer agent and registrar described above, as well as the need for DTC and CCASS participants to comply with the respective systems' rules and procedures, including their established deadlines, exchanges and transfers of shares between the New York transfer agent and registrar and the Hong Kong transfer agent and registrar may not be credited to the relevant account at DTC or CCASS until six business days following delivery of the instructions to transfer the shares to the respective system.
Investors are reminded that it may take a longer time for shares to become deliverable in DTC or CCASS as it involves operations of third parties beyond the control of the Company or its transfer agents, including brokers, DTC and Hongkong Clearing.
