60) (a) Examples of Basic Project Purposes The basic project purpose of the Contra Costa Water District's (CCWD) Los Vaqueros reservoir project was "to improve the quality of potable water delivered to the service area of CCWD and to improve the reliability of water supply by providing for increased emergency storage.
Reporting overall satisfaction with its program, the group said that exit interviews in various locations indicated that 94 percent of the parents who attended CCWD seminars found them helpful or very helpful.
The well is now providing around 15% of the district's water supply, which provides some protection against drought-related water reductions imposed by the CCWD and some diversity in supply.
