NEW YORK -- CDS IndexCo LLC ("CDS IndexCo"), a consortium of 16 investment banks licensed as market makers in the ABX, CDX and CMBX indices, and Markit Group Limited ("Markit"), the leading provider of independent data, portfolio valuations and OTC derivatives trade processing, announced today the launch of TABX, standardized tranches of the ABX indices, the synthetic asset backed benchmark indices referencing U.
Unlike the CDX and iTraxx indices where the roll concept is designed as a way for investors to retain exposure to the most liquid series of credits, and where liquidity tends to be concentrated in the most recent "on-the-run" series, ABX.
LONDON & NEW YORK -- Dow Jones Indexes, a leading global index provider, and CDS IndexCo, a consortium of sixteen investment banks, today announced a mutual decision to formally end the collaboration to jointly publish the Dow Jones CDX family of North American and Emerging Market credit derivative indexes by December 31, 2006.
