After a long career as a principal research scientist at MIT, he joined CREOL at the University of Central Florida, where he was a research scientist before joining AC Materials in 2005.
He received his masters and doctoral degrees in Optics from the College of Optics and Photonics, CREOL for his work on high power surface-emitting semiconductor lasers.
