CSIR Materials Science and Manufacturing research and development leader Richard Bean said trials on titanium parts for the aerospace industry--specifically Boeing--will follow the casting of the bracket for Fiat South Africa. Regular increases in subscription rates, the decreasing value of Indian currency, increased demand for information, and dwindling library budgets for procurement of journals have caused CSIR laboratories to look for alternatives, such as procurement of electronic journals, extensive use of information technology, and sharing of resources by forming library consortia. CSE enabled Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), Hyderabad, India a constituent Laboratory of CSIR to obtain direct and valuable feed back from its customers to improve the planning, execution and delivery of the projects undertaken by the institute. |
