1883: In the westward expansion of the Canadian Pacific Railroad, blacksmith Tom Flanagan detects copper sulphide in a right-of-way cut through rock on the rim of the Sudbury Basin. Anotnio Cordasco, an immigrant peddler who aspired to be "king" of the Italian laborers on the Canadian Pacific Railroad operated out of Montreal. The other three pieces will be the Canadian Pacific railroad (Canada's second largest railroad), a coal company and a shipping company. |
