The analysis shows that citywide carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) emissions were approximately 58 million metric tons in 2005, with 79% coming from buildings. Emissions reductions from using nuclear energy amounted to 143 million metric tons of carbon dioxide, 36 percent of the 391 million metric tons of total carbon dioxide equivalent reductions reported. By December 2012, Toyota Tsusho will purchase a total of 360,000 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) while TEPCO will buy a total of 240,000 tons of CO2e. |
