However, a series of policy violations and mistakes -- including a case worker failing to read the family's entire history of child abuse and neglect -- led to Rolon's seven children being returned to her, an internal county audit concluded. Her case worker also helped her rent a two-bedroom apartment, where she now rents a room to another woman who was a victim of domestic abuse. We're working with Tarzana Treatment Centers and developing a process by which we have a case worker speak with patients and arrange for follow up care. |
