This increase was the result of income from increase in cash surrender value of life insurance and an increase in net lease financing, due to growth in the Company's lease banking business, offset by a decrease in loan service fees from anticipated pay downs and reductions in servicing fee percentages related to home equity loans previously securitized and sold by Avondale. Total noninterest income declined $311,000 in the first quarter of 2000 compared to the 1999 first quarter, primarily because of reductions in loan sale gains and cash surrender value of life insurance policies. |
