Open source model In his 1997 essay 'Me Cathedral and the Bazaar ["Y2000], Eric Raymond suggests a model for developing OSS known as the Bazaar model.
html and in an appendix to The Cathedral and the Bazaar (O'Reilly).
Raymond wrote the now famous white paper "The Cathedral and the Bazaar," which explained the importance of open source software and posted Microsoft's analysis - the Halloween Document - on the net.
