Over the 25 years, ischaemic heart disease (IHD), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), cerebrovascular disease (CVD), diabetes mellitus (DM), renal failure (RF) and rheumatic heart disease (RHD) accounted for 2747 deaths among the NT Indigenous population, accounting for 29. However, to truly have an impact on human health, we need to extend these approaches to understanding chronic complex human diseases including cardiac disease, cancer, diabetes, chronic lung disease, and cerebrovascular disease. The service covers six diseases: diabetes, hyperlactacidemia, hyperlipemia, hypertension, ischemic heart disease and cerebrovascular disease. |
