Clinical Studies Prevention of Chemotherapy Induced Nausea and Vomiting Oral administration of EMEND in combination with ondansetron and dexamethasone (aprepitant regimen) has been shown to prevent acute and delayed nausea and vomiting associated with highly emetogenic chemotherapy including high-dose cisplatin, and nausea and vomiting associated with moderately emetogenic chemotherapy. I believe that ondansetron oral spray will provide a major benefit for patients who are experiencing chemotherapy induced nausea and vomiting with a superior way to deliver ondansetron. Aloxi(TM) (palonosetron hydrochloride) injection for the prevention of chemotherapy induced nausea and vomiting was the subject of two poster presentations and one published abstract. |
