Ohio law requires that all children who are under 4 years of age and/or under 40 pounds must be restrained in a child safety restraint system.
Formerly, the law required children less than 4 years old and less than 40 pounds be secured in a child safety restraint system.
Over the last couple of years, a tremendous effort has been made to educate parents about the risks of injury and death to children from air bags and the improper use of child safety restraint systems.
