Strain and Hoyson (2000) studied six children (ages 3 to 5 years old) enrolled in a LEAP program who initially scored in the moderate to severe range of autism according to the Childhood Autism Rating Scale (CARS; Schopler, Reichler, & Renner, 1988). Each participant scored within the mild-moderate range of autism on the Childhood Autism Rating Scale (Schopler, Reichler, & Renner, 2002), and each presented with a restricted repertoire of social and play skills. the Childhood Autism Rating Scale, the Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales: Survey Form, and the Psychoeducational Profile-Revised (PEP-R). |
