She was a popular singer with her own radio program on CKAC in Montreal, and had already made her stage debut with Montreal's Varietes Lyriques in 1938 in the small role of Sylvabelle in Benatzky's The White Horse Inn. He was later to work for radio station CKAC and ended his career as editor of Le Petit Journal and Photo Journal. In the early 1980s, he was director of programming for CKAC and then general manager of CJMS in Montreal and vice-president of the Radiomutuel network. |
