A key element within the Serializer is the Clock Multiplier Unit (CMU), which takes a reference clock at 106. The enhanced on-chip reference clock multiplier reduces system cost by generating the internal 1 GSPS clock from a low frequency, low cost external source. The ADIsimDDS tool allows designers to choose a DDS IC from among ADI's portfolio of products and set general parameters, such as the desired reference clock frequency, output frequency and number of reference clock multipliers required. |
