In 2000 the US Army selected the Recon Optical Raven R-400 proposal for its Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station (Crows) project for a lightweight system which could be mounted on Hummers and other wheeled tactical vehicles for use by special forces, military police, infantry and transport units.
The XM101 common remotely operated weapon station (CROWS) can be a true lifesaver since it lets the gunner fire protected inside the vehicle.
M-101 Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station --allows Soldiers to acquire and engage targets while inside vehicles, protected by armor.
