The explosion came in the 1994-95 season, when Connecticut Public Television began airing every game, and the Huskies won the first of their four national championships. Six other stations eventually signed up, including KERA in Dallas, WQED in Pittsburgh, Connecticut Public Television and Oregon Public Broadcasting. Southern New England Telephone's hour-long program "Vietnam: A Chance to Understand," was created to be shown in local schools before airing on Connecticut Public Television. |
