Peoples Genetics' technologies are made up of procedures for sample preparation and constant denaturant capillary electrophoresis that can be applied to large pools of DNA (up to 100,000 samples) for identification and validation of low-frequency mutations.
The UTMS will employ microfabrication technology, robotics, and Peoples Genetics' patented analytical technique, constant denaturant capillary electrophoresis, in order to provide the throughput necessary to discover and quantify mutations throughout the entire length of genome.
Peoples Genetics is scaling its discovery operation around the HTMS instruments, which separate mutated DNA molecules through a high-resolution process, Constant Denaturant Capillary Electrophoresis (CDCE).
